Intro to Pole

Looking for a fun and sexy way to work up a sweat? Fempress Fit offers the best pole dancing classes in Chicago. Learn to find and express your exotic side in our Intro to Pole class featuring dance moves on, and around, the pole with pole dancing basics. Pole Dance classes deliver a great cardiovascular training incorporating dance routines and acrobatics.

In this Intro Pole class, we will teach you what makes pole dancing so much fun, and so FEMpowering to perform. You will learn how to strut, spin, circle, tease and twirl your night away, in a fun, frisky, and comfortable environment. This class will help you learn the fundamentals of pole dance technique and strength training.

From walking around the pole to basic spins and floor work, you will walk away with all you need to join our beginner-level classes. Course curriculum includes basic tricks, body rolls, body waves, and hair flips; in a fun, and welcoming atmosphere. In addition, you’ll learn basic grips, proper body alignment, pole foundations, and some beginner spins. We teach students about the physics of simply spinning around a static pole.

We recommend taking an intro class 1 -2 to times, or until you feel like you have a firm grasp of the basics, before joining the Level classes. Intro classes are slow paced, so you won’t have a hard time keeping up, or following along with the moves.

Please wear shorts, or pants that roll up so that the back of your knees can be exposed. Knee pads and leg warmers are also accessories you should consider bringing.
