  • LEVEL 1 CERTIFIED POLE INSTRUCTOR/ GROUP FITNESS/ LYRA

Brenda developed a passion for fitness through years of learning. She primarily ran marathons and participated in group fitness classes but rarely touched weights, until ten years ago when she found herself looking into taking pole classes. She was nervous because she did not have a dance background and was used to a larger class size, but she found it to be a great physical and mental challenge.

Brenda realized that pole fitness was a progressive form of exercise and that she needed to build strength to do some of the fun tricks she wanted to do. She began a weight training regimen which led her to compete in powerlifting in 2014.

Brenda greatly enjoyed building muscle and feeling strong and continued to strength train while attending pole classes in her spare time. Bodybuilding became her lifestyle and she competed in local bikini competitions from 2017 through 2019.

She has worked as a personal trainer and small group class instructor in local gyms in the Chicagoland area teaching classes from boxing conditioning to circuit training. At Fempress Fit, Brenda loves being able to motivate women to crush their goals every day and teaching them how to build muscles that are strong, lean, and sexy.

Brenda is bilingual, she speaks, reads and writes fluent Spanish and English

  • TWERK / POLE

Since she could remember from her childhood; Aliyah has been dancing to and feeling the deep African rhythm beats of her Native roots where Twerk was a family tradition and a way of a celebration dance. Individually performed but not exclusively by women Dancers this dance movement by throwing or thrusting their hips back or shaking their products often in a low squatting stance.

Aliyah always knew this dance was a great outlet for her. Later, she started her first pole class hoping to gain a bit of upper body strength. It was then she felt the marriage of pole dancing along with Twerk, and this movement became second nature for her.

Today she uses both Twerk along with Pole and Aerial Dance . She loves dancing to this amazing rhythmic movement to Hip Hop, Pop or any genre! She loves teaching her students by showing them how to let go and fall in love with those same rhyming beats in today’s music. Aliyah says “Twerking is but one choreographic gesture within rhythmic bounce.... just listen for the beat “ and allow your body to lead you there.
